This is the one shotgun that really interests me, I’d take it over a Benelli M4 any day. I’m pretty set on shotties got a Beretta 390 S/A and Winchester 101 O/U for bird and clay, a Mossberg 500 and Winchester defender for house duties and a Hatsun SA tacticool I’ve added some upgrades too, it actually runs really well with high brass loads. But that 1301 is the one I’d like to replace it with.

Got to handle a regulate 1301 Tactical (non LE model) the other day. VERY nice shotgun. Love the oversized bolt release and lightweight. Would be a nice addition to compliment my 590A1. Didn't buy it though and exercised some disciplined, plus it was in the Tactical Marine version and I'd rather have black or would even settle for the OD green.

From the factory, the Beretta 1301 Tactical is CA legal.

Pistol grip + fixed stock is CA legal on semi-auto shotguns.

Folding/telescoping stock + pistol grip or any type of vertical grip = CA illegal assault weapon [PC 30515(a)(6)]

Is the LE version the one with the Gen I fixed barrel or is yours threaded for choke tubes?

I'll have to look at it again. Didn't look like it was threaded and I don't recall seeing it in the manual either.

1301 Tactical (non LE model) the other day. VERY nice shotgun.

I have an older 1201 FP and I will say it is the fastest shooting shotgun I ever had. It fires faster than my AR rifles. If the 1301 shoots as fast, I may think on upgrading, as it has way better sights than the 1201.
