Why is the price of shotgun shells - - - doubling?

Stores that sold ammo, are no longer selling.

Where can you purchase 12 gauge shells, without taking
a mortgage out on your house?

Reno's Hardware in Kerman... Old school hardware store with a gun counter. About 1/2 hour from home. Prices are not great, but reasonable.

Availability is spotty and brief, order online but have to pick up in store.

Used to be online, but since I joined a gun club, we do commercial sized group orders of multiple pallets at a time. Both ammo & reloading materials.

Anyone with a gun club nearby really should investigate joining.

I had plenty of buckshot and slugs on hand before the rush, so target loads are all I have been looking for

This is why you need to reload. You stock up on components when things are flat, then when it gets stupid you have ammo,,, and everybody asks you where you buy your ammo?

BP has Herters in stock periodically. Unfortunately, shipping them to store does not mean they are in the large 250rd cases. They are individually wrapped in shrink wrap bubble wrap as 25rd boxes. I had to open 120 of them and consolidate them in a box after picking them up in store. The mess was as tall as I was once I was done...
