Being looking for a A300 in 20ga, then stumbled into this thread. Would you elaborate why in 20ga A400 is preferable to A300? Much appreciate it.

I've never seen an A300 in 20ga. Do they make them?

The difference between the two is, mostly cosmetic.

There are a400 20s with kick off. I'm strongly considering one for my wife, who has problems with her rotator cuffs and back issues. The 12 with kick off is extraordinarily soft shooting, if she can't shoot a 20 with it then shotguns just aren't going to be an option for her. In that case I'll have a nice 20 gauge with the best possible excuse. 😉

Beretta has a newish gun called the A300 Ultima which comes in 20 and 12 gauge. I haven't researched it enough to know what the difference is between the A300 and the A300 Ultima.

My A300 worked fine this Wednesday. Would an A400 buy me more birds?

This Fabarms looks pretty sweet, and should be on your short list.

It is said to have very low recoil.

The same company makes the Syren, which is a soft shooting semiauto designed to fit women better.

Syren’s mission is to create firearms that exceed the expectations for the modern huntress. Our objective for the waterfowl project was to create a shotgun that performs unlike anything currently available.

I bought a a400 a couple of years ago. I'm very happy with it and would do it again. I recently shot 400 rounds through it without cleaning it. When I cleaned it I was amazed how clean it was.

Bought an A400 today. Can’t wait to shoot it. I get it right before dove season ends, stupid 10 day cooling off period. Beretta’s have been pretty difficult to get in the shop I work in. Gots lots of Brownings, Winchesters, a few Benelli’s, and even the aforementioned Fabarm, different camo pattern though. Even the Retay’s have gotten good reviews.

He probably sold them all so he could make the down payment on his "K" gun

You have an A400 20g. The Beretta A300 comes in 12g only.

I’m looking at an A300 12g Ultima synthetic 12g for $750 new. Sweet looking shotgun!

If anybody in So Cal wants to shoot my A300 (or Krieghoff) you're welcome to try them at Raahauge's.
