A300 or A350?

I own two a300’s and owned an a400. Friend got a smoking deal on an a350. All great guns.

I prefer Berettas over Benellis but really like the M2 field and montefeltro in 20 gauge.

A400 in 20 gauge is a sweet shotgun! Older friend at the duck club has one and let me shoot it. Very light and soft shooting. I’m trying to transition to 20 gauge for ducks, doves and turkeys. 12 gauge is good for the geese.

I picked up a camo V3 and absolutely love that gun! Recoil feels a little softer than the a300. Very reliable shotgun.

If mainly for ducks and upland, I’d highly consider a 20 gauge. Shoot hevi shot and get a good choke. Go with a camo finish and synthetic stock.

Good article. I have friend that uses a M2 for all of his bird hunting. He took me to his 20 gauge only club. He kept telling me “wait, wait,...” until the birds were 20 yards out. So much more fun waiting for the ducks to get close. The other good thing is it reduces the number of cripples you’ll have. Like the article says “the report is less” so it doesn’t flare nearby birds.

3" shells in my 525 Sporting rattled my teeth a bit so I decided to go with the full Beretta package

Why not to look into Maxus.

I second the Maxus. I love mine.

The A400 is a solid gun, but the MF'er is like 8 lbs. It's a big heavy gun. The Maxus is a fair bit lighter, which matters to dudes like me that have to carry a gun, decoys and other junk out into the marsh. Someday I might get a duck boat, and then I won't care as much, but the added weight is a deal killer for me.

Spend the extra and get the A400. I use mine for waterfowl hunting and it never jams and the recoil is very light with 3 or 3.5" shells.

What's the difference between an A300 and an A400?

For 100% more money, you get 10% more gun. It's just not worth the money to me.

Good idea because you never know when the wounded duck may put up a fight and you got to use the 686....which is also a world class revolver.

I have shot dozens of cases of 3.5 inch shells out of my Beretta A391, with the first generation of kick-off, the past 11 years. The only issue I have had was a broken firing pin last year.
My recommendation is to make sure to get the kick-off system. Absolutely worth the extra $$$.

love my A300. Use it primary in heavier field/brush for the last 6 seasons or so. Never jammed, soft shooting, eats whatever even when the shell is covered in Pop Tart crust

Son uses it a lot now too since I use my Franchi O/U and semi.
