        Never felt a need for a pistol grip on a shotgun anyway. Just personal preference. Good looking 870 in both pics, but personally I prefer the wood as well. Just more traditional. Sexier.

          Looks great. I'm thinking of swapping to wood grips for my second 870, but the factory Remington walnut stocks seem to go for ~ $90 on eBay. Looks like refinishing some that have seen use may be a good way to go.

                  Nice job!! I love the look of the old corncob stocks on the 870s.

                  Nice choice on the refinishing too -- my 870 "pre-Police" Magnum has a pretty dark stain on the wood stocks and I like it.
