Looks new to me. At best I see small and normal marks from contact during assembly/disassembly.

Dude, if you are going to WHINE over a few scratches, perhaps you shouldn't own firearms.

Do you know what a "defect" is?

I do. There are defects that affect form, fit, or function. And there are cosmetic defects.

Let's not knock the owner. Some people take pride in keeping things in good condition. For instance, I don't like my car scratched or dented. Other things like my jeep, can take a few dings and I am ok with it.

If I picked apart my Mossberg I could probably find blems in the manufacturing. The OP’s LG passed their inspection. To me everything is cosmetic.

I suggest the OP inspect firearms for blems in future purchases and if discovered ask to see another of the same or request a discount because it has a blem?

Thanks for the suggestion. That is why I like buying used guns - I don't need to worry about blem and just roll with it. Lol

And don't locktite on shotgun chokes

Use some choke grease or just brake grease or Lucas gun grease or Aeroshell aviation grease or similar grease. But use something or the choke will get fused in with carbon
I'd use any of those greases except Aeroshell, I've seen 7, 22 and 33 leak separated oils and it can be a mess.
