Nice piece. Needs a little tlc. Are you a collector? Or do you plan on shooting this thing?

          yes

I collect shooters.. only have a couple difficult to find ammo for, like my french mas 1873 that I may never shoot.. I like the looks of this old sxs so not upset for the cost either way.. but I'll shoot it if it passes inspection and I can find or eventually load ammo for it.. if I can find decent reliable loads for it, many uses on the farm, great snake / varmint gun

It would be a great piece after restoration.

I haven't shot organized clays in years, does the lead ban really apply on the range? I mean, that's ludicrous.

I'm not aware of any of the ranges in the Los Angeles area that require steel shot. But, give it time.

By the way, the lawmakers in control of this state don't care if it's ludicrous or not.

The approach they use in regards to the shooting sports is The Salami Approach.

Cut off an inch of salami at a time (new laws, taxes, less effective ammo, etc.) and eventually there's no salami left.

I saw that but didn't know what it was - pretty neat cleaned up!

I bought three while I was there.. I'll have to write it all down for my kids sometime.. there's a funny story about a piece of cheese I bought in Sicily that made the tour and my encounter with U2s in Sig LoL that was a great deployment
