maybe a reloading club for friends would work for some folks? someone with a little more room and time to host training and possibly use of some of the non-consumables?

please don't laugh at me but I actually have a reloader of some kind and a few cans of brass I'm storing for a friend.. not set up, just sitting on top of my ammo pile, but maybe I should try it when he sets it up?

no way I'll be able to support my entire ammo diet but maybe I could make something useful

some range days are planned, some are last minute.. but almost always the guns and calibers change three times within the last hour before I leave the house LoL
You are exactly the type of person who needs one of my

"Buchanan Precision Machine Portable Hand Reloading Presses."

You can reload virtually any metallic cartridge with it and it is as fast as any bench mounted single stage press. However when you are done with it, it goes back into it's 13x7 Boyt Pistol Case and back into the tool bag that houses all your reloading gear, instead of the large bench and cabinet that you have to have otherwise..

The benefits of this tool are many and it is in the hands of 250 people now and there have been no negative comments from any owner.

Reloading is something that if you are committed to shooting enough to actually become good, you will need to do. The good thing about my tool is that it will do what you want with a minimum of space needed, and all you have to add is Dies and Shell Holders, and components for whatever calibers you intend to load.

This isn't a tool that you would want to load 5000 9MM's or .223's on,,, (you could,,, but you probably would only do it once :>)) There are better tools for mass producing large volumes of ammo. But if you are looking at loading batches of 50-100-200 this tool will do it at your kitchen table in the comfort of your home, and you'll enjoy using it way more than standing in front of a bench in the Garage for hours, when you could have been watching Fox News..

"Personal Comfort" while engaging in repetitive activities is part of "Enjoying" what you are doing, and if you don't enjoy what you are doing you probably won't want to do it for long.

"Tactile Gratification" also plays a big part. IE: It feels good in your hands.

The difference between a Spolar and a PW 800 is the Spolar looks nicer and runs smoother than the PW. Other than that and the price they are the same machines, but the Gold one feels nicer to use. Once again,,,"Tactile Gratification."

Reloading is alot like making parts on a Production Lathe or Mill. You establish a process or sequence of events that produces an acceptable product, and then you stand there and repeat those actions as many times as is needed to produce the desired number of finished parts or rounds. i do this to mass produce some of the parts on my tool. IE: I stand there for hours and make the same parts over and over.

Being comfortable and running a machine which doesn't fight you, and doesn't require a huge amount of Physical Strength to operate is key to producing good work. or nice ammo. The better your ammo looks, the better it will shoot, and I can almost guarantee that.

And Finally, like Larry Potterfield says in his 4 reasons to Reload Ammo.

"Satisfaction from a job well done." This makes you feel good. And that's what we are all looking for everyday of our lives.

Reloading is a good hedge against the time that they inevitably turn their attention to shotguns and ammo.

It's hard to justify reloading when there is $22/100 target ammo from Walmart but that is going/gone away.

I started reloading for pistol in '09 and hardly ever noticed any ammo shortages since.

Now I'm stockpiling lead. Reloaders have been on their radar for some time.

Yeah, split the group winnings of $70 with another guy. Got a 15 out of 25 on 5 stand with a 20 gauge. Best I have ever done with any gauge. One dude Kevin got a 23 out of 25 with a 410 on the 5 stand.

Richard definitely did well at 91 with his 28 gauge. He was ho-hum about it.
