    870 DM Discontinued

    Since the 870 DM is Discontinued and even the Magazine are no longer made I am curious about converting one to tube fed. I have never seen one but suspect it is possible and would not be a very costly conversion.

    If someone owns one and knows the internals I would appreciate if they e-mail me about it. I would like to see the inside of the receiver and trigger plate assembly and would like pictures or even to see it on skype.

        Remington always seems to discontinue stuff before it gets of the ground. I’m still mad the stopped making the 798/799 before I could get my hands on one.

          When were they discontinued?

          They were still being displayed at 2020 SHOT Show.

            I still want a Remington TAC-14DM.
            Just need to figure the logistics of getting one with an 18" barrel, so I can get it imported into CA, then once it's in CA, submit a Form 1 to make it into an AOW so the 14" barrel can be legally attached while in CA.

              I seriously can't find anything about it having been discontinued.

                Hope that's not true. Does someone else make magazines for them?

                  Wouldn't it be easier to have audiophil convert it to an aow and just sell it to you through a CA class 3 ffl?

                    Not that I've seen and that's part of why they didn't sell. There was a huge sale on these things about a month or 2 ago, way under 300 bucks. Closeouts maybe? But Remington never made any mags with decent capacity, whereas Mossberg sold 20's for their firearm.

                      Also, the Mossberg is just a better gun. They sell 10 round mags, and if you get the tube version, you can get a clip that goes into the loading port that feeds mini-shells. Now that Federal makes them too, they should be easier to get.

                        The Remington mags were pretty pricey too. Something like $80 as I recall. I've forgotten if Mossberg was cheaper.

                          Hi JD;
                          I would have figured that if anyone had one of these, it would by you, and in several different variations. I'll ask some of the folks I shoot with.

                            Didn't know that. Always good to know who is an expert, etc. That said, wonder why Remington still has it listed on their website? Confuses us normal people.
