I can see a lot of "practical" uses for a Shockwave.

We can own a Mossberg 590 Shockwave in California. Turners has them on sale right now.

The ones Turners sells are 18.5" bbls. The "real practical" ones in Mossberg's catalog come with a 14.375" bbl. Big difference!

I had a shockwave before they were 'shockwave' for it's novelty factor. It is great if you are within about 20 feet. Not so much against targets further than that, though I haven't tried it with slugs as aiming it is silly.

Solved the aiming issue with a green laser. Zeroed at 20 ft using a bore laser. And replaced the nylon strap with the sharp poking corners with a custom leather one with nice round corners.

Legal here in Utah because it is not considered a shotgun. Can't be shouldered.. The only reason. The Nightstick version is nice... Maybe if I were several years younger...
