I tried to shoot the style at MnM Big Bonanza today. So my observations confirm that shooting this way is tough.

1) 1oz. as opposed to 1-1/8oz lost me some breaks.

2) Low gun as opposed to mounted lost me some breaks.

3) Not moving on the target until I see the bird is ridiculously hard especially when I know where they come from and so I fumbled enough to lose some breaks.

Even then I still managed to achieve greater than 50% success. I could do this.

Well, after reading the rules for a state shoot, it looks like I need to shoot another event before the state shoot. If I don't I'll be penalized for not making the minimum required targets. The penalty is to be bumped up 1 class, I haven't been shooting enough to be competitive in my current class, let alone a class up
