    Pointer 1000 O/U shotgun

Are these any good for the occasional shooter? a very few times of trap and a couple dove hunts. Nothing heavy. Probably 20 or 28 ga. Thanks.

Thanks. Doing a little search for a buddy. Wants an O/U and I happen to have seen this at Turner's. I really don't know much about O/U guns. Thanks again.

My neighbor has had one for years.
I said he loves it except the weight.
He's 120# soaking wet. He said it gets tiring lugging it around while Chukar hunting.
But then again, you could get tired lugging around a BB gun for Chukar.

I've held and handled, but never fired a Pointer. My initial thoughts are that they are heavy, bulky and that you would be much better off with an ATI Calvary 20 gauge. The ATI is much lighter (under 6lbs) and functional. Spend a bit more and look at the entry level CZ's. Neither the ATI or CZ is on the same level, not even close, to the three B's, but you'll get a serviceable over under for occasionally hunting and shooting.

I had a LSI Pointer for about 2 years. I put at least 4000 rounds through it. It shoots well with no issues. I sold it after I upgraded but only because I started to compete in PITA and ATA.

The person who bought it loves it and has had no issues so far. They have had it for at least a year and at least 1500 rounds since they have had it. He also uses it in PITA tournaments.

Fit and finish is not amazing but to be expected for a budget o/u. Other than that, it works.

No, when I go to a range, it's usually Prado Olympic range. During the week, so nobody can see my wonderful shooting.

looks like off work for a while, if you want to shoot sometime let me know, I'm in Redondo Beach but a weekday trip might be workable.
