I've got one of the Specter Gear buttcuffs.
-If bought, be aware a buttstock adapter may also need to be purchased to mount this butt "cuff". The buttstock adapter is made to also be a rear sling mount. This buttstock adapter typically is already included with Specter Gear's 3 point slings.
-PROs or CONs: By the time this thing is mounted, it seems like there's just an awful a lot of straps. It's pretty secure, although the rear mounting point is comprised of two, short (~1") straps with sewn-on Velcro.
-The front section is attached by another strap using Velcro. Either or both of these straps have shifted or loosened during firing and carrying. I've since doubled-up or substituted the original straps to be a bit more secure....again, more straps. I may re-do my attachments, yet, again, back to its original design.
-The center of the shell holder tends to bow inward when mounted as intended/delivered.
-After a couple of years, the elastic is maintaining a good hold on the shells.
Here are a couple of other buttcuff options if that's the way one's going:

The Ace buttcuff has a nice rear support strap which keeps the buttcuff from creeping foward under recoil. I also have one of these. It works well.
The ATI shotshell ammo holder firmly screws onto the stock if you don't mind permanently drilling holes into the side of the stock. I may try this product the next time I discard a buttcuff due to the elastic stretching out.
I use a Tacstar sidesaddle AND a buttcuff on my shotguns as relatively-low-ammo-capacity is one of the limitation of most (tactical/HD) shotguns. BTW, the Tacstar's polymer shell holder is reversible and holds the brass bases in one direction better than the other which is important depending on how it's decided if the shells are carried brass up vs. down.

...Has anyone else purchased one of these and can give some feedback?
