OP, what mags do you plan to use in the VEPR? OEM, SGM, etc?

Reason I ask, is that the aftermarket mags can be picky with ammo. In particular, with slugs. Might want to run a few flavors before you decide on a specific brand of ammo, especially for an HD weapon.

Ah, thanks. I have a 5 rounds OEM and 10 rounds SGM. Wasn't planning on using slug. I was reading and found that some suggest #4 rather than the 00. I am still reading about shotgun rounds.

Yeah, i am not too picky about home defense rounds. I gauge my HD ammo by weather any other of my family would be able to pick up, fire, and reload my weapon/weapons should something happen to me in such a situation. If my daughter or sin can manage to hit a target 2 out of 3 times with whatever gun/ammo we have at the time...then that is my go to HD/SD ammo. In my vepr shotguns i mostly fire SUPREMA 7.5 in 3 1/4 DRAM or WINCHESTER PDX 1 slugs. I have had some issues with SGM mags...some are just user error (me).
