    Kel Tec-KSG

Saw this at the LGS and first thing the better half says- can I carry that CCW! Gotta lover her! Then she asks, hey, can we carry that in the car? So needless to say, she held it and says it feels more comfortable than our present HD howitzer- a maverick 88. (she does understand that it would only be for HD)

So....for those that have one, any real world advice would help. Most of the ranges in my area don't have one to rent- so pretty much gotta buy before we can try it out I think. Thanks in advance.

I love mine. Had it for a while now and its been flawless. It kicks quite a bit so be sure to install the Kel-Tec KSG Extended Butt-Pad. It's made by keltec and it makes the shotgun's recoil more inline with the others if not better. In my opinion, it should come with it already installed.

It's also plenty accurate enough, with slugs I can hit the plate at 50m all day and 100m more often than not haha

Where you at? If you are local to Los Angeles, I can let you play with mine.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I've had mine for about a year or so, and enjoy it very much. My boys and b-i-l's have also had a turn and seem to like it as well. It is one of my HD guns and it's can hold 14+1 2 3/4" shells or 22+1 mini-shells.

I’ve had mine since 2016. It’s probably the only product keltec has had much success with as of late. I think it shines in an HD role since it’s compact and holds so much ammo. Really accurate with slugs, but definitely get a recoil pad. You would want at minimum some back up irons and a light if you intend to make serious use of of it. You need to rack the action aggressively, and you should always keep it level to feed and eject properly. I’ve never experienced ejection problems, but I’ve had misfeeds when running the action in really odd positions (laying down sideways, upside down, pointed skyward or down at the ground).

If you like I’m in NorCal and you’re welcome to shoot it before you even decide to commit to it. I have some Aguila mini shells and standard 2 3/4 loads if you want to put it through it’s paces

                Hey Rome,

Thanks for the great info. Ya, I def looking to get this as HD and might take you up on the offer. Will PM you. What's a fair price for something like this. The LGS Im planning on getting it from, they've got it at $800.

I tried one that belongs to a friend. It had a vicious recoil and was somewhat hard to rack.

Definitely not my favorite firearm, but I'm sure others may like it.

I shot the KSG 25 which the longer version that holds 12 rounds in each magazine tube and one in the chamber. I only shot it 4 times but with the gun fully loaded it wasn't bad at all, however it did have the recoil pad installed.

This gun also had a Red Dot sight on it which made it quick on target.

I actually would like one for HD even though I don't really need one that bad.
Still if one drops out of the sky it won't be turned in.

Very cool gun, and totally the ship for urban warfare.
