What's with all the hate on the Beretta A300? While I do not own one of those, I've handled them and they seems pretty well made for its price point.Comment

Browning Maxus and SX3 are the same thing I believe. Don't pay more for the Browning name unless you want too..Originally posted by jmonte35Disagree. Been trying to teach lewdogg21 how to hunt. It's like trying to teach Steve Wonder how to see. Not sure we're ever going to get there.Comment

The hate comes from someone that 90% of his/her posts add nothing of value to this forum. We'd see less if no one would quote or reply to them.God Bless America - My iTrader rating - https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...2-transactionsComment

I own a Maxus and four SX3’s, they are excellent. I believe the SX4 has one improvement over the SX3 which is a slimmer fore end. I prefer the SX3 but functionally don’t believe the SX4 is inferior. Although I don’t own one(did but it didn’t fit), the A300 is not crap.

Re the SX3, if you get one make sure it is configured the way you want. I own two, one in 20 and another in 12. I bought the 20 ga Black Shadow at a LGS and knew exactly what I was getting because I saw it in person. I ordered the 12 from out of state because I couldn't find what I wanted locally. I was told it was a Black Shadow, and it may be, but it's way different than the 20. Differences include the shape of the butt pad, the shape of the forend, the finish on the metal, the finish on the composite stock, the shape of the bolt, the shape of the magazine cap, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. In the 12s, the 3-1/2" guns won't cycle light target or field loads, so I got the 3" version. Turns out it has some difficulty with 2-3/4" field loads, but will probably improve after it's broken in. I really like the 20, the 12 is just OK so far. In the 12, I think I'd rather have a Rem 1100, but they don't make the configuration I wanted. SX3s are getting scarce, so anyone who wants one should probably get on it.Comment

Beretta scatter guns are garbage? lmao..You are entitled to your opinion.
I love my A400 (kickoff). Is it overpriced? perhaps. is it Garbage? I dont think so. It is such a breeze to shoot all day.
Edit - I have also shot the A300 a lot. no noticeable difference in function on the trap line except it has a little more felt recoil than my A400.NRA - Life Member

I actually do not participate in any clay shooting disciplines. Backyard clays occasionally and I hunt, a lot. I live on 800 acres that I own and have excellent dove, quail, turkey and ducks. My mother owns several thousand acres(which I eventually will own 1/3 of) and my BIL owns a place, both have decent pheasant.
My two kids are in their 20’s and like to hunt. One of the Weatherby’s in the picture is a youth stocked 20 gauge and two of the SX3’s can be configured for women/youth by removing spacers. My daughter and her friends use them. My kids often bring friends to hunt that don’t have guns and so do my nieces. There are occasionally times when all the shotguns are in use. My latest acquisitions are a FABARM L4S, Weatherby Waterfowler and a dedicated Turkey gun. Though I love my FABARM if all I had was a Weatherby I wouldn’t feel handicapped. There are four in the family now and I’m impressed with them.

Love my Beretta 391 and I would buy the A300 because they are excellent shotguns and never been entry level, or garbage. The Beretta hater "Sandro" is an fool, and should go take an English class before his next post.Comment
