I agree with the Fenix TK series on a mount. Great value and quality as far as a mounted flashlight goes. And now they offer a remote tailcap pressure switch if you want.

Any suggestions for a mount for the TK11 which will hold up to batches of 12g out of the 870 reliably?

Another option is a Streamlight TLR-1 on a Mako foregrip. Should be about $100 less than a Surefure dedicated forend. Not quite so neatly integrated as a dedicated Surefire front end light, but you can move the light to any other weapon with a picatinny rail.

Nice. I'd seen those before, but I didn't think there was enough room to mount one on a Mossberg 500. Think I'll pick one up.

Depending on how far forward u install it, you will have 1/4-l/2" between the mount and the forearm.
