I can vouch for the MicroCore. My SP1 Sporting came stock with one, bought a thinner one to get the LOP right. I put one on my A300, it's much more comfortable than the stock rubber pad. With the LOP correct, my felt recoil on the O/U is minimal.

Yes, definitely more comfortable and with the different thicknesses, will allow you to dial in the length of pull (LOP). Having the correct LOP is very important for being accurate and comfortable. The spacers for the butt stock and shims allow for an individualized set up.Comment
