There is also Quail Point by Zamora.

I would guess they would be less than 1 1/2 hr from P'ville.

For me, sporting clays is like golf, trap and skeet are like shooting bullseye pistol. Very repetitive.

The problem we have is when you get very good at trap or skeet, It's a big ego blow to shoot sporting clays.

It's hard for some guys to go from the 90's to the 60's.

The 5-stand course I shoot at is constantly being tweaked/modified. There is always something (angle, speed, etc.) different, usually a few. 16~18 is usually respectful, 18~22 is very respectful, and 23+ is impressive.

Do you ever shoot at El Dorado? I work in Placerville but live in Folsom so I am a bit closer to quail point and birds landing.

I usually shoot the 5-stand course at the Auburn Trap Club. It's open Thursday afternoon's & Saturdays.

I have shot rifle/pistol at El Dorado, but not trap. I mostly shoot at Sac Valley.

Live near Pville, work in Folsom...
