A new shotgun?

I am thinking of buying myself a shotgun when I graduate in December.

My current shotgun lineup is the following: 870 12gauge Wingmaster Modified, Remington Model 11 12gauge(A5"carboncopy") Full and a 870 20gauge compact.

I'm leaning towards a woodstocked Autoloader, the Over/Unders are too expensive for my budget.
I'm wanting a gun comfortable for sporting and hunting uses.

I'm thinking either a Montefeltro or Montefeltro Silver would be good.

Anyone have any input for a relative newb with shotguns worth more than just a couple hundred?

I think I have 12gauge pretty well covered with the Wingmaster and Model 11.

Anyone here have any experience with a Franchi 48?

Inb4 YSRracer and the A300. Great gun for a great rpice, I love mine.

I have used a Montrefeltro a few times, beautiful gun, and great feel. My only concern is getting the wood all banged up and scratched while out hunting.

Never played with an autoloader of that caliber, but I'd see about taking a look at the Beretta A300.

ysr_racer and a whole slew of other users pushed the A300 on me, and it's been awesome. Cheap, easy, shoots just about anything.
I don't push my firearms as hard as others do, but if it's a hunting gun the synthetic stocks might be ideal.

I'm in the market for a $1k-1.3k Citori, and I have received plenty of others; so I wouldn't push O/U out of your budget just yet.

If you want to hunt with it, make sure it has chrome lined barrels for steel shot (or that you have the buck$ to afford Bi$muth or other exotic non-toxic $hell$)

The local Boy Scout Camp has 20 gauge Beretta semi-autos in their program. These guns see a lot of daily use every year and it's been five years now with no significant issues.

For a gas gun.
Another vote for the A300. Really like mine! The synthetic models are fully adjustable for LOP, cast, & drop. The wood version is nice too, just not as adjustable. If you want to spend more, maybe look at the A400 or Winchester SX3.

I'll put in a vote for the montefeltro in 12 or 20; I won the A class 20ga event at the 2014 state nsca shoot with one ...have also taken one hunting. Occasionally use one for sporting and skeet.
