^^^^Thanks, indeed a very sexy b***ch. I was concentrated on A300, but this one is a different animal. Soooo cool.

Unfortunately i'm in SFBA a little far to sac only to try a gun.

      Ok, here is the deal.
yesterday i had a chance to compare Maxus with A400.
The winner is, hands down, is Maxus by a big margin.

      1. Much, much softer shooter(felt recoil). When we were shooting 2.3/4 there was no difference felt, but when we switched to 3 and 3.5, wow!!! here it was especially on 3.5 BBs which i hunt geese with or #2 3.5 magnum turkey loads.

      2. In addition to much softer felt recoil it has 2 nice to have features.
      a. Much better and versatile magazine cut-off mechanism
      b. and another very nice feature which i liked is a quick load. I think it is so “very nice to have”. I could not find it on a400 at least. Maybe I was doing something wrong

      3. The fit was very similar for me.

      4. The A400 patterned a little bit better, but since I’m going to use aftermarket chokes anyway, so this is not important as well.

I’m surprised I got only one recommendation here for Maxus. In my opinion it is way better than A400 in similar price range.

You guys need to try it.
Now i'm looking where to order it from :-), never ending problems...

Hope ysr_racer doesn't read this! Lol. Congrats! Just goes to show it's a totally individual thing. Smart to find them, shoot them and decide for yourself what you like.

Congrats on your hew shot gun!

Not to dissuade you, but I found the bold statement to be inaccurate, as Jerry Miculek clearly shows. lol But, he is not a normal human being.

A400 with kick off stock or without? I've never shot the Maxus so don't know how it is. I'll have to check it out. Good luck with your search.

With kick off, it was Extreme model. Very nice gun if you do not put it alongside with Maxus.
And as i say, what was additional point is magazine cutoff and fast loader which a400 does not have.

It just supports my statement. He could not shoot it faster than the gun was able to reload. And he was not shooting "the fastest" gun.

So, again, so far as much as i know and as it was proven by this vid, no human can shoot faster than any contemporary gun is able to reload, therefore, the feature of "fastest shooting gun" is just marketing trick.

I'm late to the party but Maxus/SX3.

YSRRacer hugs decoys and runs around naked in the duck pond so be careful about "hunting advice" from a guy who does that.

LOL.... he never gave a hunting advise. He gave A300, as usual advise. BTW, i absolutely disliked A300 compare to 3 other choises, but everyone to his own.
And again, as Steven King was saying, opinions are like a**sholes, everyone has one LOL,,,,

Went with my new Maxus for the opener and today one more time.
Unbelievable good gun. So soft shooter. Recoil with 2-3/4 not existent IMO. fells like 22lr. No muzzle raise, so the flowing shots or shots on 2 and more targets were easy.

I did not have time go with it to the range to shoot it before the opener, so i had concerns about the fit, but it shoots where i pointed. So far i do not see the need for any changes in the fit.

The speed loader is such a nice feature. I thought it was going to be a nice feature, now i just I love it.

I did not have chance/need to use the magazine cut-off feature.

in short, I cannot be happier. It is the nicest gun i ever used and i think i made the right choice.
