CZ-712, but I don't know too much about them. They're made in Turkey
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Well, I'm not trying to fix what isn't broken. I want a semi-automatic shotgun.

        Nothing wrong with that, yes?

            Well there you go.

            Thread is done.

            Next question?
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.

Do you put your HD shotgun in the safe every time you leave the house? That's why the 870 sits next to the bed. I can afford to lose 300$ but over a grand would suck.

I hit the wall with my Benelli.
                I've shot it a lot.
It's just a simple spring change and clean the tube with a brush on a drill.
You don't need to worry about that with a pump.
Even if it had a totally weak mag spring you can still breech feed it.

                  Beretta 1301 Tactical

Personally, I would keep that 870 for the intended purpose. Nothing wrong with it at all.

But if I were to ever get an autoloading SD shotgun, it would be the 1301.

                      I use a Maverick 88 5+1 pump for HD.

However, my range toy Vepr 12 can do 10+1 and reload another 10 round magazine faster than a magazine tube fed shotgun -- even with the Bullet-Button.

About $750 plus shipping, DROS, FFL transfer and tax.

I think of the VEPR 12 as having the "cool factor" of the SPAS -12, SPAS-15 and USAS-12, but CA legal.

                      VEPR 12 - Going fast!

While I have a number of semi-auto shotguns, my HD is still an old Winchester Defender pump. Look at it thus way, chances are you will never use it for HD. If you do use it, it may be months if not years until it's returned after all the legal issues. On a side note for the Gander Mountain link. I tried to purchase a Remington pump .22 from them back in 2013 from a store in GA if i recall and they refused to ship into CA
