    Remington 1100 help

I just got a Remington 1100 from a fellow calgunner. Haven't had the time to shoot it yet but I'm loading/unloading with snap caps and the 2nd shell keeps getting hung up 1/3 of the way so the tip of the shell gets stuck and won't feed to cycle the bolt.

I end up having to push the shell in manually back into the magazine tube and it will push the shell through. Then I have to press the bolt release to feed the shell.

    Any suggestions/fixes?

Shoot the gun first. The action cycles much faster and with more force than your manually doing and it may feed and function just fine.

Yes, take the gun out and shoot it.

Just got back from the range and I'm still getting stuck shells halfway out of the magazine tube. I would say it's happening to about 1 in every 5 rounds I shoot. Anyone have this issue with their Remington 1100?

Send it back to Remington. They will fix it and you can depend on them doing it correctly.

I hope that you were told about this issue before buying...

if you were not told about this issue, please post the name of the Calgun seller so that I never buy from him or her...

Jesus Christ, are we sure it's not the ammo or operator error?

                OP, where do you live?

This is the issue I'm getting. The shell is getting hung up halfway. This is happening with a Wilson follower and extra power spring. I've scoured the Internet and there are other people who have had the same issue, but no clear fix for it.

Did you check your gas ring and o ring. Are they in the right way? Worn out? Broken, dried out? Thats the first thing i checked when i got my 1100, looked good still but still replaced because they are cheap.

Put out an APB for aippi, he is an expert in Remington shotguns.

Gas ring was fine. This also happens with snap caps and I manually pull the bolt back. Shell still gets hung up halfway.

Umm, replace the Wilson follower and extra power spring ?
