870 stock set

I kinda dig the front vertical fore grip.
Thinking about ordering a set after I obtain an 18in barrel for my 870.
Brings me to another question...

Know of any place to get a decent price on an 18in barrel?

I have the Mesa Tactical M4 stock adapter on my 870 and love it (a little on the pricey side though - but you get what you pay for).

They have an 18.5" barrel for 89.95 and it has rifle sights. Look under the remington 870 section. They also have some different stocks.

How is the fit and finish on those barrels? Considering they are made by Mossberg.

i have the same thing on my 870, its from pro mag.

it fits and works fine. durable plastic. good for a budget build.

my vertical fore gip broke after 5 shots, so maybe throw it away

if you have the cash, buy a mesa set

I just bought a Mossberg 500a tonight, and would like a set like that for it. I couldn't see any for the Mossberg. Any ideas where I can get a complete setup?

It is a promag stock, not the best quality. Save up for the Mesa gear and you will be much happier.

The mesa stuff looks really nice, but I just don't have that kinda money to spend.
This is definitely a budget build. As I really need a personal defense shotgun.
In the future I will build something better.

I'm a big fan of the hogue grip set.

The shotty doesn't look as crazy... which can be a good thing...

And like all hogue stuff... it feels great to hold.

If you need a home defense shotgun, put an 18" barrel on it and save the rest of your money for a good flashlight foregrip. The tactical stock isn't all that important, and cheaping out on a cheap plastic stock just makes less of an argument for going that route...

Do not need a flashlight fore grip. I am gonna get a magazine tube clamp or barrel clamp. And just use my current 1in diameter surefire hand held light.
