Help with value of dad's over/unders

My father told me he wants to sell his Beretta over/unders. I have no interest in them and don't know squat about skeet and sporting clay shotguns so I would like those of you familiar with them to help me assign a fair value. I want to make sure my dad gets a fair price. He also has an oak display that holds 10 long guns that he would like to get rid of. I think he said he paid $1500 for the cabinet w/ base. Everything is in perfect condition.

I already searched online for a value but my results vary wildly from $1,500 to 4,000+. What I know about the guns are he has a Beretta 682 skeet in 20ga, a 682 skeet 4 barrel set, and 2 Beretta sporting clay guns (12 and 20). They have some engraving but not much. From my research I think they are called "silver pigeon" models, not sure.

Please help me ID and value these for my father.

What part of the state are you in? I might be interested in one of them if he is selling.

I would also suggest putting a few pictures and a post about them on trapshooters.com to help put a value on them. I'd also recommend posting them for sale on SGW and TS as they would be more desired there.

Shot at AAA in Rosemead? They will be for sale as soon as I can get an idea of what to ask. He hasn't shot in years and will be buying a new home within a year. He doesn't want to keep or move anything he won't use again.

Seriously though he should have a rough idea of their worth just by the purchase price. Beretta's Silver Pigeon start at $500 under purchase price and go up from there to 2 times the price depending on their conditions and model. Some even more than 2 times the original price. None of those in the pictures look like they would start low and they will be expensive but we would need far better pictures to price them.

Taking them to Pacific Sporting would be the best start I would think.

OP -- Do yourself a huge favor and buy one of the Sporting Clay models off your dad.

As far as values, you need to provide much better info and some detailed pics before anyone, outside of actully looking at it, can give you any good estimate.

They will consign the guns for you. Ask them to suggest a realistic asking price. In fact, you might get a higher price at PSA than here in the CG marketplace. You do not have to ship the guns or deal with the buyers. The consignment fee might be $ well spent.
