What is rattling inside my Citori Receiver?

I didn't think jiggle was a sound. Jello jiggles. Jelly jiggles (must be jelly cuz jam don't shake like).

kinda funny, but need to expand the mind into it a little more than jello.. i love jello tho.

for me, i was thinking sounds like when you shake an AR15 with loose upper and lower tolerance. that kind of sound?


but yeah jiggle can make a sound, like when you have alot of coins in your pocket and its making a sound? know what they call that sound? how about keys? or if you jiggle the toilet handle.. boom, you just learned something today. haha

The reason I suggested to take it to a gunsmith, is most guys don't have the skills or tools to take off the butt stock, let alone fix whatever they find.

I figured if you had the skills and tools you wouldn't be asking us.

My 525 probably has 20 or 30 thousand rounds thru it, and nothing rattles. Something is wrong with yours. What you choose to do about it, is your call.

absolutely 1000% always sound advice to open ended questions..

all too often the conclusion of not taking this advice leads to rounded screw heads, pry marks, scratches, assorted damages, etc..

if you're the kind of guy that has a gunsmith's screwdriver selection, roll pin punches, basic firearms teardown experience, etc., then you probably could have isolated the source of the noise faster than starting this thread..

but since we're here now, maybe this will get your on your way to a solution..

While the 12's are different, the 20,28, and 410's all share the same fire control components. What additional work would have been done?

I was thinking it was a tubed 12, didn't know it was a 410...
