    Online Stores Legit?

Is there a list of legit online gun stores on CalGuns somewhere?

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on using http://onlinegunsandammo.com to buy a shotgun? Are they legit. I am new to shopping around for a gun online. It was a little close to gunsandammo.com in its name, gave me a worry.

As well there is no contact info on the webpage? No phone calls or emails seems sketchy to me.

I did find this which was helpful... but not all inclusive.

    budsgunshop.com
    Cabelas.com
    Basspro.com

All reputable. Bud's usually has the best prices.

If you think something is sketchy, don't buy there.

Paying with a credit card gives you extra protection. I honestly don't worry about my credit card getting jacked. It's the bank's money, not mine. If something happens or you don't get your gun, just dispute the charges and you'll get the charges reversed. If there is fraudulent activity, they'll credit your account and give you a new card. Easy.

It's your debit card you need to worry about.
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.

I have a few friends that swear by Davidson's (Gallery of Guns) http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/default.aspx.

You have to have patience, every time I go on the website it is incredibly slow.

You can by it online from them, pick it up at your local shop and there's a lifetime replacement guarantee on the gun.

Buds seems like a great inventory until you lick on the California Compliant section and then the choices are slim. Many things that are legal in CA Buds website reads it will not ship to CA. Kinda strange...

My impression is they will ship items not in their very sparse California Compliant section if on the roster. This was confirmed by one person there, but I have not tried to do it.

I bought my Benelli Supersport from http://www.eurooptic.com/

              I also bought a Windham Weaponry MPC-CA from http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/

Those 2 are good. For Eurooptic.com, if you see something you want, call them and offer to pay via check. They'll give you a small discount.

That site you linked looks sketchy - never heard of them and not on anyones radar. There are a ton of good online sellers. Kygunco, impact, grabagun, tooele shooting supply, buds, osage, tombstone, lanbos, tss outfitters, manventure, joe bobs, gunbuyer.com, vizards, to name a few.

I recently ordered a Colt 1911 from Bud's, one of the two left on the California roster. Bud's didn't have it listed in their California compliant section, but they shipped it out to my FFL with no problems a couple of days later anyway.

I had a good experience with summit gun broker when I bought an 870 police trade in from him. It took forever to get the gun since I pre ordered it but thats not an issue and he didn't charge my credit card until it shipped. I don't know what kind of shotgun you are looking for but he has a pretty good selection and consistently has new inventory coming in.

"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet

Picked up my new Beretta 92 that I ordered from there. Saved quite a bit of money over buying it locally. The only issue I had was that I was apparently the first person who ever ordered a gun from there at this particular LGS, and the owner wasn't entirely clear on how the process works. But it actually went pretty smooth, got a great deal on a great pistol, and the extended warranty is awesome (I'm told. Never had to use it myself)
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Not to mention, it's a GoDaddy website that was made using a free WordPress plugin, and yet somehow they had the cash to build up an inventory of 14,613 different products. Oh, and the domain name was only purchased 9 months ago. They blocked their contact info on the domain resgistrar as well - it could just be a 12 year old kid in Bangladesh for all we know. No comments anywhere on the internet from anyone buying anything from them, which strongly suggests that, in fact, nobody has ever bought anything from them.

Plus, they only accept payments through PayPal, or mailing them a personal check. The address you would mail the check to is "Store Street, Store Town, Store State / County, Store Postcode." Seems they couldn't be bothered to fill in the blanks on their cheap-o template.

                            Sketchy is putting it mildly.

But if you want to roll the dice, make sure you pay with a credit (not debit) card using paypal. That way, in the very, very likely event that you get ripped off, paypal is usually pretty good about getting you your money back. I actually had to do exactly that the other day - paid $500 for some software from a similarly sketchy website, and the software license I got was obviously generated with a "key generator". So I filed a complaint with PayPal, and got my money refunded in literally 8 minutes.

^ Everything about that seems sketchy to me except the claimed inventory. A lot of places can be set up as storefronts for other distributors, or use drop shipping to artificially inflate "inventory". That said, I wouldn't risk it.
