Shot my new 1301 Tactical for the 1st time, ran thru about 60 rds. total of 1 1/8 oz. 00 buck and #7.5 bird.....it was my virgin shotgun experience, as I've been all handguns and ARs.

    Notes:
    - Nice to know what 00 buck feels like, and that it's shootable. Still gotta work on recoil management, kept forgetting the push-pull

    - Was surprised that the #7.5 birdshot shell had similar recoil....was hoping for a powder puff round, lol

    - Was slightly disappointed hearing the mechanical "Poink!" sound with earplugs and earmuffs on, instead of a "Boom!". Might take out the plugs next time

    - the gun ran great....it'll shoot as fast as you want to pull the trigger. Did NOT accidentally hit the bolt release to the rear, so it never jammed up with escaping shells. I don't think it will be a problem for me.

    - Needed watermelons or cantaloupes....AARRGGHH! Had to just shoot isolated clays on the ground or the dirt berm . Need to remember the grocery store sales and stock up!
