Ordering first shotgun soon...

I am buying my first shotgun shortly (Mossberg 590A1 9rd) and I was looking around at ammo online and wondering if anyone had suggestions on places to pick up ammo at good prices.

I looked at BulkAmmo.com and it was kinda limited. Are there other good online places? How about favorite retail shops? If you have a favorite brand I would like to hear about it to.

I am really only buying 2-3/4 00 buck and slugs until I get familiar with my gun, so no need for Dragons Breath or Ninja Darts or other crazy rounds which are out there. But feel free to post them if it helps with entertainment purposes.

Ammo is all about the shooter....

There is a 4 or 5 part series by james Yeager and they shoot different ammo from 4 different barrel length barrels and chokes....

I like bulkammo.com for most calibers, except 12ga unless they have a deal. Otherwise I get the Spartan 00 buck from jgsales.com, cheap and effective.

Only have run it through pumps, but it has never given me a single issue.

What is the deal with low recoil ammo? Is this just for when you want to shoot all day at the range? Any benefit to home defense (lower penetration)?

To get familiar with your new gun, why not shoot some bird shot? Usually less $, and easier on your shoulder, etc. Stop by Wally World and pick up some Federal or Winchester white box (not the Universal crap) 1 1/8oz #8 or #7.5. I usually pay $5.48/box for the Winchester. Shoots pretty clean.
If your worried about recoil, buy the Winchester white box (Extra-Light Target) 1oz #8 at 1180fps 2 3/4 Dr. eq.
