Thanks to J.D. at AI&P/aippi, I have brought my two older Wingmasters up to snuff by installing a Flex Tab Conversion Kit in each.
The kit consists of a new carrier that has the tab cut in it and a beveled breechbolt that uses the new-style firing pin spring. Two upgrades in one! - a Flex tab carrier and bolt, and a new firing pin spring!
My guns were both manufactured in 1980.
