I'm looking to add a 2-shot mag extension to my 870. I would like a high quality product that is blued and will be the same length as my 18" barrel (not an inch longer like a few I've seen). Any recommendations?

There's a large amount to choose from this site. http://www.tjgeneralstore.com/magazine_extensions.htm
But I'd recommend looking online for the cheapest/best deal.
I was going to get one but I need a shorter barrel thats around 18 inches. (Mines 28 inches)An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.

Thanks for the reply. However, I'm not really looking for the cheapest or best deal; I'm looking for the best quality, sturdiest, nicest, etc. Now, if they are all the same, then the cheapest one will do.URL="http://www.nra.org/"][/url]NRA Life MemberComment

I got mine from Max100 from shotgunworld.com. Its a +3 parkerized extension that sits flush with the 18.5" bbl. I got itfrom him for about $70. Top quality product for a guy with his own lathe. I'd post a pic but I'm on a itouch. You can find it in the shotgun picture thread.Comment

Just to make sure, you do realize that this is purely aesthetics, right? The ones that sit a little bit longer than the barrel have no negative effects whatsoever. Period. And you get a 3rd round. Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

My preference is the factory extension with the magazine clamp as additional support.Comment

Take a look at the Wilson Combat extensions. 18" barrel shown below

They're all pretty much the same. I wouldn't want to overpay for them since it would be a waste of money. $40-60 should be a decent price range for a solid extension. Mind you, the longer it is, the more expensive it will be.An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.
