Another vote for the mossy 500 combo. Can get it on sale occasionally at big 5 for $299 and you get both barrels (18.5 & 28 vent rib). I've had mine for almost 2 decades and have used it for dove hunting, shooting clays, desert fun, etc. also works great for a home defense gun with the 18" barrel. Put a side saddle & sling on it and done!

I also have a Nova. It is well built and fugly, will cycle everything and won't jamb, easy to clean because you can just hose it off and blow it dry. It dose not handle like a 2x4. More like a 2x6.

Sportsman's Warehouse has Remington 870's in 12 and 20 gauge on sale for $299. Although I prefer the older models, that's a very good price and you'll not likely find another for sale at that price either.

My mistake.........I just reread the sales ad............the 870's are $289, not $299! Even a better deal.

            the 870's are $289,
At that price, you can spend some time slicking up the action. If I didn't already have more 870s than I need, I'd grab one of those as a backup duck gun.

If you are getting a new 870, here is a $25 rebate. http://www.gandermountain.com/assets...bate__Form.pdf

Big5 has the Mossberg Silver combo (I believe the interchangeable chokes) on sale starting Sunday for $309.

That one. Put a WTB ad in the marketplace section. Be patient. Refresh regularly. You cannot beat a lightly used Wingmaster for, well, just about anything.
