What is your present skill level and how far are you from Birds Landing. I may be able to help.

If its to far from you try calling Cordova Shooting Range, Folsom shooting club,
Quail Point Sporting clays .....see if they have instructors available

OP, call your local trap range. They usually have instructors.

I've shot at Quail Point, and both Matt and Scott know what they're doing.

That's a really good question by the OP. I consider myself to be a pretty competent shooter with a rifle in the field out to 300 yards (my self imposed limit), but honestly, I'm good, but not very good with a shotgun in the field. I too wouldn't mind taking lessons with a shotgun to improve my mechanics. I primarily shoot at Hastings but was a member at Birds Landing for over 30 years.

I am lacking consistency in my mount. I can go on a run where I can go maybe 6 straight then miss 3+.

Hands down Will Bruce will get your game where you would like it to be in trap, sporting clays or skeet. He will instruct at Coon Creek in Lincoln. I have been going to him once a week for a year. He also instructs on Fridays at Quail Point. Look up West Coast Shotgun Academy on Facebook. His rates are reasonable and he is a Master Class shooter and great instructor.

I don't expect everything handed to me. Just set it down anywhere. Unknown

                        Good Ol George. :-p

Will won't be at Coon Creek on Sunday. Talked to him at Quail Point today. He does registered shoots many weekends. I would say call West Coast Academy or message him on Facebook. He certainly will get back to you.

Just to follow up I had my first lesson with Will Bruce today and the guy is nothing short of amazing. He is a great instructor and by the time we finished I was shocked at my level of consistency and accuracy.
