Yes, very easy. You-tube has videos if you get stuck but it is straight forward.

What do you mean that the forearm is one piece and can't be changed? I've owned and seen many 500s and never heard of such a thing.

A PG only shotgun is worthless in 99.9998% of situations. While it is easy to change to a PG, It's a waste of money unless you are part of a rapid response team at one of the largest malls in America. Whatever you do, don't get rid of your stock, you'll be sorry if you do.

How so? I have owned 500s including 4 or 5 from Big5 and have never noticed anything different about them vs. other 500s that were built in the same time period. But, I don't know everything so, I sure could be mistaken.

Yeah, on at least some of the models at Big 5, the forend and slide are one plastic piece like this:

It's not really "more work" to replace. You just need to toss it and replace it with the normal slide assembly, nut, and a forend.

I will trade my pistol grip from my 500 for your buttstock. I am in sfv.

Can't remember off the top of my head. It's simple enough to look up the parts on midwayusa or something and then shop around.

edit: It's this one, then like I said you'll need to order the nut since it's a separate part.
