Replacing the mag tube on a Benelli

From all the pictures that I have seen none of the aftermarket tubes use the same little "cap" that the factory uses on the Benelli M4. I am refering to the cap at the muzzle end of the shotgun.
Does anyone know of a mag tube that keeps the original appearance?

www.davesmetalworks.com Contact Dave. Benelli did change the threads on the M4 and Nova. If you have an early gun it's a different thread than a new one.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

I am getting a new Benelli M4 soon. The part in question is at the muzzle end. The factory setup has what looks like a thread on cap on the muzzle end of the mag tube. The aftermarket ones that I have seen are smooth and do not look like they will accept any sort of cap on the muzzle end of the mag tube.

Not sure what you mean by smooth at the end.

Here's the Nordic Components M4 extension, it screws onto the fixed mag tube in the foreend (replacing the non-functional extension on the M4), and takes the original magazine tube cap on the end:

I think I answered my own question. Daves metal works seems to have what I need. Thanks Randy.

esskay, I have kinda figured out the ins and outs. Daves Metal Works has a One piece for the M4. Do you have any idea how hard it is to change the whole tube out to a one piece?

It's real easy I've done it in my garage many a time on many a different Benelli. Use propane torch and heat the receiver around the tube and it will screw right off. Piece of cake.
You don't have to get it flaming hot either. If I have a friend over I have them hold the stock and I heat the receiver and hold the tube with the other holding presure on it as soon as it starts turning I put away the torch and spin it off.

If I'm alone I sit down and hold the stock between my legs and do the same thing.

The M4 is comes with a two-piece mag tube. If you buy just an extension tube, it's as simple as unscrewing the old non-functional one and installing the new one. If you want to replace the fixed mag tube & extension with a full length one-piece tube, you'll need to heat up the receiver to release the loc-tite the factory used, as Randy described.

The M4 in question is the camo version. Will the camo finish handle the direct flame? Maybe the Two piece is the better option given that the One piece is all black.

All the extension tubes I've seen are black. There could be camo out there but I haven't seen them.

Don't know of any camo extension tubes either - whether one piece or two piece it'll be black!

Also don't know how the camo finish might be affected by a torch. Perhaps a heat gun would work better? Maybe put it in an oven? Don't know, maybe you can run a search on the BenelliUSA forums or post a question over there - there's probably detailed discussion of it over there. Look for a thread discussing one piece tubes for the M4 manufactured by someone called "SOCOMGuy" or something like that.
