I am certain that many of you clay folk reload, but I need to find a good place for retail. Unfortunately, the current free shipping promo at Cabela's excludes ammo. I have yet to fully decide upon 7.5 or 8 for my personal preference and either 1oz or 1 1/8 oz is fine.

I am "eyeing" Smokey Mountain Guns & Ammo https://www.smga.com/default.aspx because they offer $9.00 flat rate shipping which offsets the case price. While my Google-Fu is top notch, I would appreciate input on good sources.

Thank you for all the ideas and links. While I wait for Cabela's to run an ammo/free shipping sale in conjunction, I've decided to give Smokey Mountain Guns & Ammo a try. When comparing them with free shipping but paying sales tax, the numbers come out fairly even ($6.96/box delivered to my door - Estate & Fiocchi), and I love the selection that they offer.

I know that CSACANNONEER reloads and is a very helpful in sharing his experience, I doubt that he would mind a PM with that question. If folks find your question here and can help you great, if not you might attract more reloaders with a title focusing on components.

If you're looking at ordering ammo, I'd also check with ableammo.com. It's a store I've been to about an hour or so from here up in Huntsville. They do in-store and online shipping, and have just about any kind of shotshells in stock. They stock the usual FedRemChester stuff, and Fiocchi, Rio, Cheddite, Estate, Baschieri and Pellagri, and even more obscure brands and in most if not every gauge (yes, I've even seen 24 and 32 ga rounds there!). Most of their clientele is people who spend a lot of time and effort blowing up clay targets, which makes sense, considering they have trap, skeep, 5-stand and sporting "out back" behind the store. They're also a Beretta master dealer (yeah, they have the $10K ones in stock!)

Another place to check with is Aerostar Outdoors.

Able Ammo's shipping rate is way too high.

The best price right now is Dunn's and Rogers...both have most of their target ammo with free shipping.

Federal Top Gun $69.99 ships free. Winchester AAA $88.99 ships free but I think the $2 box rebate has expired.

Like others have said Walmart is a great please for bulk shotgun ammo both the federal bulk box and the Winchester heavy load are cheap and work great. For some reason my 870 supermag does not like the the Winchester universal box (white box) and fiocchi shotgun ammo. Also depending on where you are located like in my case the closest walmarts to me do not sell ammo so if I do not want to drive out to a Walmart that does sell ammo I will just go to big 5 and buy whatever they have on sale for $7.50 or $8 a box for convenience. I have ordered from sg ammo before and found that they have great deal on "range safe" and on slugs and buck but I do not find their prices on birdshot that good especially after shipping costs.

Decided to call Cabela's for the heck of it as my favorite target load is on sale. Asked for a shipping cost for 10 cases, and low and behold no free shipping, but the cost was $1.90 to ship to my door each case. So I ordered 10 cases, with shipping cost of $19. Asked the lady where they shipped from and she said she had no idea, so I suspect close by.
