I see that Buckmarks come in 2 different slides (pictured below), is there any difference between the 2?

You can see the two types of slides & firing pin assemblies in the image above. Also Exile Machines pic shows the older plastic sight base. Newer buckmarks have an aluminum sight base. You can tell them apart by the pins connecting the rear sight. Plastic base has a single pin, aluminum base has two pins.

Wow! I have always been a Ruger guy, but after seeing all of these I am thinking I need to give the Buck Mark a try after all! Any suggestions on which model for plinking and varmint?

Camper is the base and it's still a great choice. I have the URX which is more accurate than I am, I'd like to swap the front sight for a fiber optic one. If you want to varmint hunt a railed one might be a good choice for a red dot or low-power scope.

I think I would go with a Telecaster. The bolt on neck would be the strongest to deal with terrorist zombies. I know most folks will say Strat, but I think the trem system is unreliable.
I mean, who needs to dive bomb when SHTF? That only happens in movies.

Where'd you get the Buck Mark OD Green grips and black trigger (mine has a gold trigger)? Or did you just paint them yourself?
