        You guys really need to define what a "brick" is to you.

            Come on, I'm not that old but remember buying 50 rd. Packs from k-mart for 49 cents!

                my indicator has been in the past the cheapest 22lr seemed to match the price of a primer

                this insane extended run on long rifle is starting to get annoying

                  Well, I am that old and still have more than a few bricks of Rem. Golden bullet HS 22s for $5.00 a brick---and many bricks I bought for less than $10.
                  The routine was, go to store, buy five bricks or so, shoot two or three bricks, go back to store and repeat---after a few decades, you end up with a very healthy stash of 22---so when you find it reasonable priced 22 (by todays standards)---stock up!
