Bricks on the shelf @ .055c/rd

Wow I was shocked to see entire bricks sitting on the shelf and at a great price (for current times). Other then waiting 3hrs in line at Wallyworld at 5am.

Its a local shop and they do not do mail order so it leaves you guys out but it is very encouraging to see.

As I remember it, it was about this time when I started to see ammo prices get back to normal and ammo on the shelf after the 08 election (2011 1/2-- 3.5yrs) and now we are coming into 3.5yrs after the election of 2012.

My advice is to stock up for the 16 election or wait till 2019 1/2 for your next window.

30 years ago a brick of 500 was ten dollars regular price. if you actually remember buying .22 LR for a cent or less, congratulations on your longevity.

Right around 1990-1992, I was buying 888 round boxes for $8.88 at Wal Mart. Shot a lot of it too, I remember wanting a Mini-14 and looking at .223 ammo $3.XX dollars for 20 rounds thinking, "Pfft.....way too expensive for plinking".

I remember paying just under $10.00 for a brick back in the early 90's at one of those catalog stores where you would put your order in, pay and wait for it to come from the backroom stockroom on a conveyor in a plastic bin.

                        No title just pew-pew-pew

And I remember win my dad would sent me and my brother down to the liqueur store with a note pinned to our shirts allowing us to buy a pack of cigarettes for 18 cents a pack for him. I also remember when they increased the cost of the same smokes to 21 cents. I remember it well because I couldn't buy the candy bar I wanted due to having to spend that money on his crutch. Gas was 29 cents a gallon. And taxes were still going up.

The richer got richer.... And seriously dangerous people were still in charge of the planet.... and so on.... And life goes on.... How much are .22 cal rim fires going for a round now?

.22's at about 5 cents is about the same cost as they were when I was a kid, once you take inflation into account.

The wholesale price hasn't gone up over the last few years to justify the stupid ammo buyers paying 55 cents a round. It is call fu@k the stupid customers.

Uhm... It is 5.5 cents per round, not 55.
