Thanks for the input guys. I was browsing scopes last night and found/ordered a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5x14 side focus on sale at Natchez for $199.

I have the exact same scope on my 17HMR. Very please with it, Clear glass.
I have been shooting at 100Yrd and the 14x mag works for me.

Got into them with my air rifles and have bought numerous for air rifles, CZ 455, B.Mag etc.

I think both of these are Midway exclusives and regrettably, they just raised prices $20 each. I have not had a negative experience with one of them. I print up drop charts for loads with Hawkes' software. Awesome.

I shoot 50 yds only with a .22lr and use a 8-32x44 at full magnification. You can't get too much magnification shooting paper. Tree rats, bunnies, and nutria are another story.
