Just got a response from Ruger.Said they are aware that the clear mags are wider and sometimes have fitting issues.

Gave me an address to send it to.Will exchange for black mag.I'm good with that.

Got home early enough to mail it to Ruger. Will update.

I have 1 clear Ruger magazine and it fits perfectly in my RAR. Seems like the clear are hit and miss.

OP, those aren't cracks, but are mold lines. you can see the same mold lines in Press Check's magazine.

i thought they may have been mold marks but they just seemed way to rough to be at the time, and my original nagazine didnt have them.

Recieved brand new replacement mag in the mail today. All it cost me was the postage to send the other one back.

Checked it for fit in all 4 rifles. No issues. Will stick with the black ones. Can't blame Ruger for the delay,I mailed it by cheapest method possible.

As far as I'm concerned, they made it right for me.

Ruger is GTG. I had a problem with a Gunsite scout mag and they sent me a new one in a week, no questions asked. I'm surprised they even made you send in the old one.

I have noticed a quality difference. My older mags function flawlessly, but the ones i have purchased in the past two years have had feeding issues. I attribute this to bad casting on the feed lips. I have been using some emory cloth to try to polish them up a bit. Was in disbelief at first as the Ruger mags have always been good quality and thought my rifle had an issue, but after trying in two different 10/22s, I found it was indeed the magazines. I am speaking of the 10 rounders but I have also had some issues with the newer BX25 that I bought last year. The failures have been with standard velocity ammo as I mostly shoot suppressed. Perhaps I'll run some mini mags through them and see if the problem persists. Right now, I have six 10rd mags, but i only ever grab the older ones for use and the newer ones sit on the shelf.
