    10/22 Jamming Frequently

Does anybody else have this issue? Seems like after about 30 - 40 rounds my 10/22 starts jamming up. I already took the cartridge apart, cleaned it and put some tension on the spring. About the only ammo that works for me with less jamming is Federal. Is this something common?

Clean, polish and oil the bolt charging rod.

@rivercityshooter man thanks for the videos I never even knew I was supposed to back that nut out when putting the cartridge back together. I'll try that first.

These 10/22 rifles are jammers change the extractor then it will work fine.

I found that my 10/22 jammed a lot with cheaper bulk ammo. I originally thought it was a magazine issue, but with CCI AR Tactical, I have gone 600+ rounds now without a single jam/FTE/FTF.

It just may be more sensitive to ammo.

send it back to ruger they will take care of it. if it is out of warranty go buy a new extractor kit.

Can you provide more detail? Failure to eject, failure to feed?
Also did you try a diffrent mag? I assume you cleaned it well.
Most 10/22 are not that ammo picky.

I've mostly shot Remington Golden Bullets through my 10/22, and still have never had any kind of jam. It's not normal.

10/22s, in my limited experience, treat ammo differently. My friend's would only eat CCI. Mine would take federal bulk but would not eat the CCI. Try different varieties and see if yours is just a little finicky too.
