I have a Ruger Mark III with a bull barrel. The gun is seriously accurate and hardly ever jams. I was at turners today and did not see any on display. Maybe not available anymore.

The ruger has an awkward grip angle; similar to the glock. If you like how a 1911 feels, definitely go with the Buck Mark... eats everything and is amazingly accurate...

            buckmark

I have both and much prefer the buck mark because the bolt opens to both sides to let more soot/smoke out. The ruger's only have a small hole on one side for brass and soot to come out, so they gum up much more rapidly. With dirty ammo you're looking at cleaning every other box of ammo to keep it reliable. A buck mark can shoot 1000 rounds of dirty ammo and still work fine.

            Both are very accurate.

I can reload 9mm for about what 22lr costs, so my 9s have superseded the buck mark for plinking. I've never shot a semi-auto centerfire handgun that is as accurate as either 22.

I got a Bass Pro ad in the mail showing the Buck Mark Camper UFX will be priced at $299, or the stainless steel model at $329. Sale runs from 11/26 - 11/30.

Nothing looks as good as a RM3 fluted SS

I have a Buck Mark camper and will add a Ruger .22 to my collection someday. The Buck Mark is a fun little gun to shoot. Wish I could find cheap magazines for it though.
