    Winchester M22?

I have never tried this stuff but my Walmart info shows they got some in at 8:39PM tonight and it will go on the shelf at 9:00AM in the morning. I have read good and bad. Is it worth the 49.00 for the 1000 rounds?

Some say it is total crap. Some like it. Whats your experience with it if you have used it? Thanks

It's dirty, no it's filthy dirty, and inconsistent. But better than nothing if you don't have anything to shoot. This is first person feedback. I don't think I'll ever buy any of it again unless I'm desperate. Decent price though. HTH c good

If it goes bang and cycles the action, it's GTG. I use it to practice, not shoot for groups.
I've used it in my Walther p-22 without issues.
Is it dirty? Since I clean my guns after every range trip, it's a non-issue.

I have no problems with it, but it really depends on the firearm you are using. I only have one .22lr firearm (HK MP5 replica made by Walther) and that thing is not picky at all, as long as it isn't subsonic.

I've gone through 500 rounds with no problems. I have 4500 more to go. If you don't like it let me know and I'll take it off your hands.

I got some of this from Cabela's last year. Still have some left; it has way too much lube. If you are going to shoot it plan on wiping down the bullets first. After about 150 rounds it got so bad I couldn't get the rounds to go all the way down in a S&W 617 revolver cylinder. Shoots OK, but I would bring cleaning supplies and do a quick and dirty cleaning every 100-125 rounds.

I passed on it this morning. They got it all sold by Noon though.

I just did not want to risk it knowing that the Winchester 555s I have are garbage. So my sense tells me these may be too..Thanks

Most Winchester .22 lr ammo in generally cheap junk, I'd rate it slightly worse than Remington Thunderbolts or GBs. If you have a gun thats not picky and just want to do some plinking its fine.

The only decent Winchester in my experience is the stuff in the red plastic boxes HP or CPLRN.

I've used quite a bit of the m-22, and not had a problem with it. Yes it is a bit dirty, but it still functions well for me. Not gonna be shooting tight groups with it at 100 yards, but aside from match ammo (and maybe some of the CCI) .22 isn't gonna give you great groups.

And at $.05 per round, I'd buy more of it.

I've put about 500 rounds of it through various handguns and rifles with no issues at all. It cycles my Buckmark perfectly every time and shoots as well as I can.

It seems about as dirty as any other 22lr, about average as I'd judge it.

I like CCI mini-mags the best overall. But I've got a pile of the M22 and haven't had any bad results with it.

With 22LR, the only way to know if a certain load is good is to try it in your gun. Especially with bulk ammo. Your gun may hate M22 but the next guy's may love it.

I would have bought that ammo and tried it, and if my gun didn't like it I would have traded for something else or sold it.

While it runs fine through the T-bolt, and accuracy is fine, the Contender and K-22 do not like it at all.

Just looking at the lube and grunge on it, tells me to not bother to run it in the Tactical Solutions conversion.

Most say it's dirty and unreliable. I say if you find ANY .22, and you need it, buy it. I'll even buy it off of you if you don't like it.

It's GTG in both of my 10/22 and 3 different Ruger MK/22/45 types. No go in the wife's Mosquito. It's been plenty accurate & not many duds. I'd be a pouncer at $50/1K.

It's actually my go-to cheap ammo. Of about ten .22's that I own, the only rifle I have that doesn't like it is one 10/22. Worse than T-bolts or WWB? That gets a from me.
