growing up a friend and I would have shooting competitions. me with my Ruger 10-22 and him with a very similar model Marlin, I believe it was a model 60.

both guns functioned flawlessly. his was a little easier to reload due to the reloading tube. he did not get the slightly sore red thumbs that I got from pressing the cartridges in to the medal lipped Ruger 10 round magazines.
Of course I could change magazines quicker than he could load his too but as long as you're not in a firefight I don't think that mattered much.

we were really just teenagers messing around but I would have to honestly give the accuracy win to his rifle.

I enjoyed those times and just for the record I'm still a Ruger 10 22 man.
