...i picked up an "off-brand" rifle a few years ago on a whim, as a project to clean and refinish...the ward westernfield m842 (24"" barrel, 18lr or 25 shorts in the tube) surprisingly turned out to be a tack driving, accurate shooter

...i rarely shoot it now, as i am more into centerfires and pistol practice...

I bought one exactly like that a few years ago, also for $100. Put a Bushnell scope on it, and it shoots damn near 1 hole groups.

            Trigger is kind funky, though........
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Cool, the trigger on mine is about 5 lbs with zero creep and breaks real crisp. When I took it out on the range I was able to nail all the silhouettes at 100 yards with open sights. Not saying I'm a crack shot but the rifle shoots nice and I must've been having a good day.

My jc higgins is my best shooting .22. I think I picked it up for 100 bucks, well actually less considering I got other things grouped in with it. One of my last rifles before 2014.

First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.
