Yep, did the same thing and put on a hogue grip. The standard grip looked nice, but too small. The tiny Ruger grip looked nice, but had to go. Let me know how your spring install goes.
On the hammer spring I went with a 12lb vs supplied 16lb. I shot CCI Quiets to CCI Velocitors and everthing in bewteen. All went BANG. Out of 250+ rounds only had one FTF. I assumed it was the ammo, not the gun. I also put in an 8lb trigger spring, but had problems with the trigger reset. Went back to the stock 10lb. In SA, trigger pull is ~4.5lbs. Did not measure DA. DA is still high.
Most of the time been shooting SA. Will need to practice more with DA.
If you do a spring job, order direct from Wolf. Distributors such as Midway do not stock the correct springs for SP101 in .22LR.
Enjoy your gun.Comment

Oh boy I wish I would have gotten the ruger instead of the dang taurus. Transfer bar broke first time out, and the timing is is just a tad off. I would have paid a little more for the ruger any day, except that particular day the taurus was in front of me.Originally posted by Marcus von W.Is that banjo music I hear?
"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.Comment

The closest I came to buying a 94 was about ten years ago, a consigned one... but I chose a ported 605 .357 5-shot instead. I guess I made the right choice. After a superb professional trigger job, that 605 is pretty sweet. I've wanted a .22 revolver for a long time.Comment

Sell the Taurus and buy a Smith or Ruger. Chalk the $$$ hit up to experience and you'll soon be pleased with yourself for making the change.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.
