    Quiet 22 for 22/45?

I used to shoot cci cb shorts 700fps 29gr our of a Henry lever action in my backyard growing up. Sounded like a cap gun.

Any 22lr that will do the same in my 5.5 ruger 22/45? I don't mind hand cycling.

I tried 40 and 27gr cci tonight and they were loud, not painful but not pellet gun quiet.

I use these in my garage, shooting into a .22 trap. We have a home owners association and some crabby neighbors, and no one has said a thing about it.

        Do they cycle semi's?

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I have 5- 100 round boxes or CCI CB and am picking up a MarkIII 22/45 (#10158) tomorrow, might get around to testing a few of them after a good diet of multiple brand .22LR.
BTW-The #10158 model is due to fall off the CDOJ roster TODAY.
I'm willing to trade off 400 of CBs. See my post with a photo in the .22 ammo for trade sticky above.

I have tried CCI Quites in a RAR bolt. No louder than an pellet gun. In a 10/22 a little bit more noise, and you must hand cycle. In a simi auto pistol don't know how quite they would be and would have to hand cycle. The advantage over .22shorts is they will feed from the mag since same length as a normal 22LR.

Not sure about the CCI quiets but most 22 ammo burns all the powder by the time it travels 16-18 inches down the barrel. I would think shooting from a 5-6 inch barrel would still be fairly loud.

They're much quieter than typical subsonics. More like a short. They won't budge the bolt on my 22/45, so it's strictly hand-cycled.

                    That's why I bought a Single Six, it'll shoot anything .22

Not sure exactly how many but I think I have around 1000 Aguila .22 shorts I would trade for .22lr.

I fired a Colibri out of my browning buckmark. Won't be doing that again. Sounded like a starter pistol going off. Shooting out of my henry lever was very quiet. Haven't tried the 10/22 or marlin bolt. Found the that airsoft gbb are more appropriate for backyard play. They are a bit noisy, but don't kill the ears like the browning did.
