Just bought a beautiful Remington 521T. when it arrived at my dealer he called and said it had been damaged. It was slammed on the butt breaking the butt plate and toe off the stock. Of course it wasn't insured. all the times I have had them insured and never needed it but of course it happens when not . Seller is great and is handling it well but I want to keep it and fix it. I know Trap55 will fix the stock as it is a clean break but need help with the butt plate.
I understand it is a different size butt from the other 500 series as it is a target stock. Anyone know what will fit? although a 513T butt plate is metal not plastic will it fit? Numrich has none in stock and lists it as a 521 or 521T only. I would take a new stock if someone had a original or a parts gun they could let go of. I guess a last resort would be to buy something larger and fit it to the stock. looking for anyone with some knowledge or experience to help. A Remington collector who would pull out theirs and see if any others would fit would be nice too.
My advice is always demand it be insured and learn from me as I have failed to learn from the horror stories of others. Justin
