Another fave is my NAA .22LR mini pistol. Super small and very hideable.

It's the only gun I own that makes me a very bad shot.

Favorite rimfire pistol is my 22/45 'cuz that's the only one I have had, but could change as soon as I shoot the new Buckmark I just got.

Favorite rimfire rifle is tougher to decide, it depends on my mood.

Marlin 795, who can deny the simple awesomeness of this?

Marlin XT-22, when you want to slow it down and shoot Lifesavers off of your target.

S&W 15-22, are you kidding me? More giggle out loud fun than a man in his 50's should be allowed to have.

I have one of those too. My dad bought it from Kmart in East LA back in the 70's. Its a great gun to shoot.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I used to have a Phoenix hp22, with the two different barrels etc. It was a nice little gun. It fell out of my pocket while hiking in the woods. That day sucked.

Ruger Mark II pencil barrel. Only .22 pistol I have.
Most fun .22 rifle is the Glenfield 60 with 18 round tube.
Most fun punching paper is my still in jail CZ 452.

Mark III SS slab side comp. model. Very very fun and accurate shooter. It has all the VC goodies on it, trigger is setup at 2.2lbs with minimal travel. Very reliable, and enjoyable. I have most hand calibers but always go for the mk3 when I hit the range. I can hit 100yd plates at the range with the hiviz sights all day. I want to shoot a model 41 to see if it might be something I want next. The 41 seems to be the top of the list when it comes to 22lr pistols.

I have to break this down to categories:HANDGUN
best utilitarian: Tie between Ruger MkII and Browning Buckmark
                          Best shooting/accurate: S&W Model 41
                          Best looking: Browning medalist
Best revolver; S&W model 17 (Colt trooper gets honorable mention)
Best out of production: Any High standard
                          Rifles:
Best utilitarian, all around use: Ruger 10/22
Best shooting/accurate: too many to list
Best looking : too many to list
Most fun for kids: Remington Nylon 66
I give up on the Rifles, there's just to darn many great 22 rifles. My personal favorite is the Mossberg M44 US

I couldn't even choose. My Colt MKIII Trooper and series 2 Woodsman Match Target are my "favorites", but I can't miss with my Ruger Single Six. I wouldn't be able to ever part with any of them!

I've owned 3 rimfire pistols, the Ruger MK III target, Ruger SR22 pistol and the GSG 1911. The GSG is by far my favorite because how closely it resembles my centerfire weapon and how easy it is to take down for maintenance. I mean anything compared to the MK III just seems easy. The magazines are relatively easy to find, any gunsmith can do a trigger job and CW Accessories sell goodies to enhance the pistol at a reasonable price.

I actually regret selling the SR22. I thought it was too small for me but I didn't think down the road I would be teaching new shooters and the size would be great for kids and women.
